Hobum An

Born : Bongpyung-myun, Pyungchang-gun, Kangwon-do, Korea
He is a Korean artist currently living in Korea. He has lots of experience with solo exhibitions in Korea as well as internationally. An was responsible for coordinating exchange show between artists from south Korea and China, where communism was still a huge obstacle to artistic expression. All his paintings focus on landscapes and possess a comfortable feeling. His paintings are Korean Impressionism comparable to having a variety of powerful colors. His new paintings analyze the shapes of landscapes taking the natural images and recreating them with simple colors and shapes. We can feel his world and reality through there paintings.
